Employment Law for Managers
Learn how to be safe and legal when managing people. Follow our common sense approach to employment law.
This innovative course provides participants with a practical view of employment law. Using the metaphor of negotiating the M25 motorway, this course will enable you to understand the fundamentals of employing people without being confused by the complex legal framework that currently exists and which looks to be getting worse. Instead, you will be given the equivalent of a highway code, in the form an easy to remember 5 point plan, to employ people legally and safely.
In particular the course will focus on:
- Recruitment
- Providing and receiving references
- Diversity and inclusion
- Maternity and paternity
- Managing performance
- Grievances
- Dismissal
Your course trainers are Paul Beesley and Maria Gallucci. Paul is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) with hands on experience of managing each of the above subjects. Maria is a qualified and practicing employment lawyer with a proven track record of successfully representing individuals and companies all the way to tribunal. Together Paul and Maria will guide you to make common sense and practical decisions to help you manage your business safely for the benefit of you, your people and your customers.
All refreshments (including a buffet lunch) are included.
